WORKPLACE SOLUTIONS

Because every organization needs a little help now and then.

It’s completely possible for your organization to become the best version of itself.

Seriously, it’s true. But knowing exactly what it’s going to take isn’t always obvious, which is where we come in. For over 25 years, Nash Consulting has helped organizations, departments, teams, and individuals address a variety of organizational roadblocks and systemic challenges that were holding them back from realizing their full potential. And we can help you, too!

Our workplace solutions are practical, collaborative, and emphasize sustainable long-term change.

We recognize there is no one-size-fits-all method to improving an organization, so we tailor our approach to your specific needs and desired outcomes. Through systems thinking and evidence-based practices, we partner with you in identifying the interrelated forces and factors that contribute to your most pressing organizational challenges. We then help to implement the solutions that will address both the immediate issues and the root causes that underlay those issues.

Among other things, we can help you:

  • Develop a more rewarding and positive work environment where individuals and teams treat one another with trust and respect and collaborate effectively.

  • Train leaders to show up every day, bringing best-practice management skills that build psychological safety, enhance productivity, and truly meet employees' needs.

  • Improve morale and engagement by developing a skilled leadership team that is aligned, cohesive, and effective.

  • Clarify messy, misaligned, or non-existent policies and procedures and better define roles and responsibilities.

  • Train your leaders to hold people accountable through coaching, direct and clear communication, and empathy so that less-desirable behaviors and attitudes are transformed into healthier, more productive ones.

  • Create meetings that are truly effective, productive, and enjoyable.

  • Navigate and manage change effectively, creating positive energy and participation instead of negative resistance.

  • Break down organizational silos that are preventing healthy communication and collaboration, and enhance inter-organizational cooperation that maximizes the collective talent.

  • Develop a performance review system that aligns with the organization’s values, mission, goals, and culture, and learn to deliver this feedback in a way that motivates and demonstrates care and respect.

  • Learn to communicate clearly, directly, and with organizational empathy to increase employee buy-in, productivity, and performance.

  • Agree on a set of commitments to help your teams align on behaviors, skills, and mindsets that create a positive and professional environment characterized by respect, collaboration, and accountability.

  • Resolve conflict, better equipping you to create cooperation between employees and colleagues.

  • Align your vision, mission, and values to create true organizational clarity and health that improves the culture, decision-making, and overall employee engagement.

The Tools of Our Trade

The Action Research Process

Every organization is different. That’s why we provide a range of comprehensive and a la carte services that can be customized to your organization’s unique needs. We’ll work with you at the outset to collaborate on a way forward. We’ll consider such factors as:

  • Your organization’s needs, goals, culture, and structure

  • Your key players’ roles, goals, and hopes

  • The available data

  • Specific services of interest to you

  • Your budget

Once we consider all these factors, we’ll recommend specific solutions and a timeline for you. We’ll collaborate on a plan together, and then we’ll roll up our sleeves; it’s time to get to work!

After discussing the specific outcomes you aim to achieve, our partnership typically follows a structured four-step process designed for sustainable success:

  • Data collection: Understanding where you are and where you want to be

We begin by gathering insights to map your current state and desired future. This may involve reviewing relevant data, conducting interviews, and utilizing surveys. Together, we’ll design a customized data collection approach to uncover the behaviors, mindsets, and systemic forces shaping your workplace.

  • Collaborative analysis and goal setting: Charting the path forward

Once the data is collected, we analyze the findings collaboratively with you. Together, we identify key takeaways, prioritize high-impact goals, and establish a clear path forward to effectively address your organization’s unique challenges.

  • Implementation and action planning: Putting plans into practice

This phase is where solutions come to life. From troubleshooting and workshops to policy development, facilitated discussions, and leadership team development, we deliver tailored strategies that drive results. Our hands-on approach ensures every initiative is supported and implemented for long-term success.

  • Re-measurement: Evaluating progress and refining solutions

To ensure lasting impact, we often revisit and evaluate the outcomes of our engagement. Where have you succeeded? What challenges remain? Using this data, we refine the approach and address ongoing gaps, ensuring continuous, sustainable improvement.

Leadership
Development

Leaders have a tremendous impact on your organization—for better or worse. Effectively equipped, they engage employees and set the stage for greater morale, collaboration, creativity, and productivity. In fact, decades of research show that skilled management is essential to an organization's overall health and vitality.

Our one-on-one leadership coaching and our workshop series, Managing with Mind and Heart, have sustainably improved the culture in organizations and management teams all around the country for over two decades.

Executive Team Excellence

Organizations that invest in the overall health and cohesiveness of their executive team reap long-term benefits in terms of workplace morale, sustainability, effectiveness, employee engagement, and much more.

Nash Consulting’s work with executive teams focuses on trust, accountability, team and leadership skills, decision-making, and more, and is highly customizable in terms of length of engagement and content.

Workshops

A lot of the magic happens here. Our workshops, including our remote offerings, are interactive and engaging, extremely practical and customizable for your organization's specific needs. Your people, both leaders and individual contributors, will come away with dozens of ready-to-use skills and perspective-changing insights.

Workshop topics include management development, morale building, creating a positive and productive workplace environment, conflict resolution skills, executive team and/or board development, behavior styles, facilitation skills, train-the-trainer offerings, change management, and so many more it would be impractical to list them here.

Coaching

Having a one-on-one or group coach with whom to collaborate on problem-solving, personal and/or professional growth, leadership skill development – or whatever – is an incredibly powerful and effective way to achieve the kind of success you’re looking for. Our one-on-one work allows you to get very direct, relationship-based, in-the-moment coaching to help you achieve your goals.

Team Building

Highly engaged teams can be the difference between a thriving organization and one that's stuck in ineffective methods and mindsets. Whether you’re an executive team, a single department within a larger organization, or a project management team, we can help you thrive. One of our favorite strategies for building a healthy team is our Common Commitments process, which results in a set of guidelines that support the practices of trust, respect, accountability, decision-making, teamwork, attention to results, and more.

Team building workshops can take place on-site, in off-site retreat settings, or even virtually. (And don’t worry: no trust falls or group hugs. Pinky swear.)

Let’s figure this out together.
